An interesting spread of votes - I ended up D4 and there were three people who ended up with 5 'unnatural' votes - Ryan, Shani, and Mike. Mike is  ahead in rolling scores and so takes the next deal leaving Ryan and Shani as the 'real' winners

over to you Mike

Hi, it looks like my vote for the real def wasn't counted. I'm just glad I wasn't ahead in the rolling scores.

The scoring table at the end appears correct. The long list omits you as a voter and says D4 but the opening paragraph says D5.

Shani,

that is what I meant by saying that your score was 'unnatural' and - again - I thought I was being conventional by scoring you as 5*, the * indicates that 2 of your votes are for guessing the dictionary def and what you voted for also has a * o one of your votes

I do not understand your comment

the longlist has Shani's submission (which, incidentally, she told me is an OED definition for gillaroo)

2              A distinctive form of the brown trout (Salmo trutta) found in certain lakes in Ireland and Scotland, having a thickened stomach adapted to a diet rich in snails.          SUBMITTED by ShaniN who voted for          5*,11
voted for by DeborahF, EfremM, AlanM              5*

I am not sure where you get the D4 and D5 - the only D score is the dictionary score of D4

Johnny,

Your scoring table correctly says

RyanMc

5*

ShaniN

5*

MikeS

5*

TimL

4*

DanW

4*

and as there are 5 stars, there must have been 5 correct votes, so, a D5 not a D4. And I think this might have happened because your report for #2 says

2              A distinctive form of the brown trout (Salmo trutta) found in certain lakes in Ireland and Scotland, having a thickened stomach adapted to a diet rich in snails.          SUBMITTED by ShaniN who voted for          5*,11
while your report for #5 says

5              [Obs.] or LIMER: was a kind of dog, a scent hound, used on a leash in medieval times to find large game before it was hunted down by the pack.          Dictionary who cannot vote
voted for by MikeS, TimL DanW, RyanMc              D4
which says 4 players voted for it.

But the table (and your opening paragraph) correctly says 5 votes, including one from Shani.
