It’s OOSIK, not OOPIK? That means my hours of etymological and ethnological research into Yupiks, Pupiks and Rupik’s Cupes were wasted, and hundreds of pages of notes await the recycling bin.
Oh well, I’ll see what I can come up with.

I think this could introduce a new term to or Dixonary dictionary, alongside NAD and Dixon:
OOPSIK – when you post the wrong spelling of the word.

Thanks as always for maintaining those. Both informative and entertaining.
This was my first visit to the new web based version and I really like it!

Can you be more specific exactly which page(s) is(are) causing the problem?
It sounds like you can get to dixonary.net which redirects to https://sites.google.com/dixonary.net/dixonarydocs
The “Rules” page includes a frame below it containing two PDFs on google drive (1990 rules and Basic Rules)
It has 3 submenus: Basic Rules, “Real Rules”, and 1990 rules.
Basic Rules opens up a google drive document;
Real Rules and 1990 Rules open inline, not directly associated with google docs.

Paul,I get the abbreviated page of rules as well. The portal at the bottom is the last item on the page, so I have access to no actual rules whatsoever.

Subject: [Dixonary] Round 3170 OOSIK progress and correction
Fellow addicts,
With 12+ hours to go in the definition half of round 3170, OOSIK (not OOPIK as originally sent out!), I have received definitions from eight players: Abell, Barrs, Bourne, Cunningham, Keating, Madnick, Naylor, and Shefler. My spreadsheet has room for several million more. I doubt we'll reach even one million, but more would be nice.
Apologies for getting the word wrong in the original call for definitions. If the correction makes you want to change your definition, feel free to. If you want more time to do that, I can extend the deadline. Just ask.
The deadline is:
Votes will, I expect, be due 40 hours after that: 1 pm Sunday in North American EDT and so on in other places.
As always, new players are welcome. Just send me a fake definition of OOSIK, without looking it up, to emallach at verizon dot net. Don't Reply to this message, as that will send your definition to everyone.
Your somewhat red-faced dealer,
Efrem
