This is a different word. You won't be DQ if you know SPATCHCOCK.

I am DQ for this word, but I'll submit a definition anyway:

A 17th-century flintlock mechanism in which the cock strikes the frizzen at a sharp angle, causing sparks to 'spit' laterally into the priming pan rather than straight down.
