[Dixonary] Round 3014 CASCHROM results

Folks,

Asyntedon is "a foot-plough or crooked spade used for turning stony ground," definition 11. It got two votes, from John Barrs and Dave Cunningham. They're used mostly in Scotland, but the word is not specifically Scots. It comes from the Gaelic 'cas," a foot or handle, and "crom," bent, and is sometimes written in two parts. This is a farmer using a caschrom:

I breathed a sigh of relief when the results were published for it will be difficult for me to deal this round. I am flying to USA in two days and apart from anything else, it usually takes me a day or more to get connected.

The other option is that Chris C; and Judy M. were tied in the scores behind Guerri and John, with 3 natural points each. Chris is a point ahead of Judy in the rolling scores, so he'd win that tie-breaker - aside from her having dealt more recently and having also already dealt twice since Round 3000. 

I await the judgment of more experienced players than I am, or perhaps what Tony and/or Chris have to say on this.

According to the Used Word List, KLOOF was played in Round 1901 by Scott Crom.

 

Glad you're continuing to play. Take your time -- I'll never forget the time I had to play I think it was three words before I found one that didn't result in multiple DQs.
