I know an old lady who swallowed a fly
I don't know why she swallowed a fly
Perhaps she'll die

With 2 DQs I'm going to withdraw the word which, as you might have guessed from the above lyrics, has the etymology gober (to swallow whole) and mouche (fly) and represents a gullible person.

New word shortly, and might be associated with this link that you should not click.  Don't do it.

In French, from which the word is of course borrowed, the figuratve sense 'gullible person' is now old-fashioned,  but the literal sense 'flycatcher' is still current.
