Here are the definition for POMERIUM

 

Vote publicly for 2 defs that take your fancy (or declare privately a DQ if you now know the meaning)

Deadline (or before if every submitter has voted - 2100 BST Sunday 10th May

 

1              A tract of land reserved for ceremonial or public use adjoining a settlement.

2              A cellar or larder for storing fruit.

3              A detachment of soldiers assigned to the protection of regimental colours and the national flag.

4              1. Hist. Among the Romans, a cool, dry room for storing apples, that had north-facing windows to admit cooling breezes, with shutters to exclude strong winds. 2. An orangery.

I'll try one that makes sense and one that doesn't: 4 and 10:

I don't believe any of them.

I'm tempted by the orangery but it's got enough votes already so I'll go with the (orange or apple) crate storage and.... nope, nothing after that in the list, let's go with the sacred strip of land.
