I'm closing the round a wee bit early, since everyone who supplied a def has voted.

Our winner this round is Mike S with his punning contest, who scored a natural 4. He tied with Debbie E, who also scored a natural 4 but was behind in the rolling scores. Debbie's def, the Filipino feast, was very close to the actual def. I omitted the etymology, which would have let you know that a boodle fight is a Filipino military feast where food is laid out on banana leaves and people eat with their hands. According to the article, Everybody was boodle fighting: military histories, culinary tourism, and diasporic dining, the tradition originated at West Point. If not for Dan's last minute hunger-induced voting, I would have scored a D0.

Take it away Mike!

This tradition is often associated with camaraderie, celebration, and a sense of togetherness among friends and family.

I have Dan (#11) as scoring 3 + 2 = 5* with votes from Tim Lodge, Tim Bourne and Glenn Davis. If I’m right that lets Mike off the hook.

Sorry!  I knew I wanted 12, and couldn't find another one I liked, so I just went with the similarity.  I didn't believe it in the slightest!

Uh, I probably should stay quiet here but since Mike hasn't dealt.  The rolling scores show me with a 5* but these results show 4*?   Did I win the deal?

That's partly my fault. I should have copied you on my quibble.
