Here are 14 definitions for the word VOLGIVAGANT shared exactly as I received them, but only one is correct. Please send your votes by responding to the Dixonary group with what you believe are two definitions most likely to have come from a dictionary before the deadline, which is Thursday, June 12th, 8 a.m. Eastern Time or the corresponding time where you live! https://www.timeanddate.com  Any misspellings, weird spacing, etc., are my fault and not an indication of the accuracy of a particular definition. Please excuse any formatting issues.

Please note: I have an appointment with the ophthalmologist at 10 a.m. on the 12th; if I'm unable to post the results by 9 a.m. or soon thereafter, I may not be able to post them until late afternoon or evening when the dilatiob drops wear off and I'm able to see well enough to use the computer!

Good luck!

Good luck with those dilatiob drops. I've had them. They can cause dangerous typos!

I believe both 3 and 11.  Both can't be true, so I'm guaranteed to be at least half wrong.

2 and 4 are similar. Though I can't imagine a paper dictionary being so profligate with pleonasms as 4 is.

2. (obsolete) Of or pertaining to the uneducated masses.

4. 1. Of a sound or utterance: Spreading rapidly and indiscriminately through a large, undifferentiated group of people; widely but superficially disseminated; especially, of a rumor or piece of gossip.

2. (obsolete) Of or pertaining to the uneducated masses.

11, Of a prince or prelate: that goes unannounced or disguised amongst the common people.

- hope your eye-trip goes well -  - our NHS strikes again - yesterday my appointment was terminated because the specialist concerned just hadn't bothered to turn up (they did ring later to apologise, or at least, a very embarrassed secretary rang up)

I'll take the popular 2 and 4:

> 2. (obsolete) Of or pertaining to the uneducated masses.

There appear to be two #2s, but I'll assume the other numbers are right so I'll take 3 and 6.

There aren't two #2s. It's just that #4 gives two senses, numbered 1 and 2. Depending on how your email client displays it, definition #4(2) may resemble a second #2 that comes between #4 and #5, and so you might not notice that what appears to be #4 is actually #4(1). As The “Real” Rules'”’ comment 1(a)🗨ο puts it, “words with multiple definitions cause trouble”.

The second #2 is part of the #4 definition.
