I've experienced def 1 while sailing in Croatia about 40 years ago. The yacht heeled right over despite being tied to the dock with the sails stowed.  However, I don't think it's that one.

I'll try 2 and 5 for want of any better ideas.

From the shape, I’m positive the word is Sanskrit, and I suspect it is one of those intricate grammatical concepts Pāṇini wrote about. That would be #5, and if not then maybe #4.
