Merriam Webster's entry for HUISQUIL just says '= CHOYOTE', so I used the definition for that word.  It's one of many names for the pear-shaped vine fruit (def 11) which is known as CHOYOTE in the US and CHRISTOPHINE in the UK.  After I'd posted the word I looked it up on Google and found that the Wikipedia page for CHOYOTE gave a dozen or so other names for the same fruit! Shani Naylor and Efrem Mallach guessed the real def.

Shani is the winner with an unnatural 6 points for her feather duster, while Efrem is the lucky runner-up with an unnatural 5 for his Andean bowler hat (which I remember well from a stay in Peru nearly 60 years ago).

Over to you, Shani!
