I made a great mess of the deal - some of it was new (or rather updated) software which didn't behave but most of it was me - I hope the results are correct but I offer no guarantees
#1 FITCH was from the OED and was guessed enough times to give me
a D7 which was the highest score. #9 Tim L scored a natural 6 and
is the next dealer -
TIM IS THE NEXT DEALER - THIS IS A DEALER DECISION
=====================
With respect to definition #7 (which was Efrem's but I didn't copy it correctly so it looked the same as #6) - I stated I would treat it as if I had amalgamated #6 and #7 so #7 was in essence not included in the voting - that means that if I were to ascribe the three votes for #6, the correct guess for #1 and 2Dealer Points for my error then Efrem would becomes the dealer with 7* points but one person voted for both #6 and #7... dealing with #6 and #7 as two separate entries and allowing those two votes to count (for #6 and #7) means that Efrem's score becomes 1 + correct +2DP = 5* which would make Efrem and Debbie joint winnahs
Whatever I do nothing seems very fair hence my decision above -
Tim claimed 6 straight votes and I suppose I could resolve it by
only awarding 1DP so Efrem becomes a 6* but 1DP seems a bit
niggardly for losing a definition I had acknowledged receiving
Over to you Tim

But we *knew* there was a missing def.
Given your 2DP for lost and 2 for correctly guessing, I humbly suggest you accept Mike Shefler’s vote. He voted for 6 and 7, clearly intending to cast a vote for the missing def. Giving you the 5 that Johnny suggested. 😊
Not that it would make a hill of beans difference in any case, as long as you’re not dealing!
