Caratch derives from Arab. kharāj, and was the land tax imposed on conquered lands during the expansion of the Ottoman Empire.

The next deal goes to Tim Lodge, whose raptor leash collected 3 votes, along with Tim being one of four correct guessers.  The dictionary got second place with a D4.
