Club Race Results - April 18th

Looks like the spring weather is starting to bring everyone out from hibernation.  We had 6 boats make it out to race this weekend.  3 C22s and 3 MC’s went out and race in 6-9 with 80 degree temps.  I have heard some rumors that the wind may have been higher, but I wasn’t there, so I have to go with what’s on the score sheet.

I want to thank Tony Berry, Chris Hodge and William Brown for showing up and running races.  Next weekend is Punchbowl Regatta weekend so the following people are signed up for two days of fun in the sun (we hope)

Well the winds weren't that high.  Maybe some gusts up to 7.  Very, very shifty. 

It was fun to see the boats in first go to last and last boats move into firsts. You did not want to hit a dead wind spot! Things changed minute to minute.  Which made it fun.

It was fun to have 3 good MC sailors out there!

My old scorers guess is that like Mickey did like most all the time in the past, he did not cross the finish line - thus a “DNF” is his score - “Number of boats racing plus 1” - which gives him a 7 for each race he did

He was a DNF on the score sheet which is total of boats plus one.  He was listed as DNS on the third race so no score.

For the high point scoring it doesn’t matter.

There was not a wind instrument in the briefcase that worked so I asked Siri what the wind speed was for Alexander City, 6 mph was the answer. It did vary up and down but I think we were in the range.
