Could file info include file type?

A request, please. It would be nice if the API returned an element
"file_type" with a value like "audio", so that you could know what
kind of embed tag to generate for that file. I'm planning to implement
this now by looking at the filename extension, but it would be simpler
and less error-prone to have it come straight through the api.

Or use a mime-type/mime-parse detect of your language...

I think that in order to generate a proper embed tag, I would need to
know the type before the file is requested, wouldn't I?

Either way, I think it's a natural attribute to include as part of the
API.
