Intro to the API

What's up guys,

Thanks for participating in the DivShare API Beta. We've completed the
client library for PHP 4. Here's the link to a ZIP file to grab the
library as well as an example.php page that explains how to use it:

A couple things you will need:

API Key: 1-rob
Secret Key: secret

(This combo will expire on Monday, when you'll be able to generate
your own key.)

Here's what you can do with the API:

1. Log in to a user's account
2. Get that user's basic account info
3. Get info on that user's files
4. Get info on the files in a particular folder
5. Get info on any file, even if it doesn't belong to the user, as
long as you have permission
6. Upload to DivShare using a regular POST form

Here's what I want you to test for:

1. Highest priority is security -- make sure there's no way the
sessions can be hacked or exploited to allow user accounts to be
accessed without authorization.
2. Test out all the features, including uploading, and make sure it
all makes sense.
3. Send us any new suggestions or ideas.
