Hello,

is there anyone out there (preferably someone with legal experience
who can help explain some things to me about a court case I went
through recently to prrevent my ex wife from removing our children
from the juristiction to take them to Uzbekistan
http://www.ejfoundation.org/page321.html
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article3944.htm

I was represented at great cost by myself, a barrister and a high
profile witness with great knowledge of the country from his personal
experience.

my ex wife was litigant in person. she questioned my witness for
hours, discreditting him, but my barrister was not allowed to ask him
questions, because the judge said his statement was enough.

I was not call called by the judge to speak at any stage to justify
myself, and my barrister was allowed to say 3 (procedural) sencences.

at the lunch recess he intimated that he would judge in favour of my
ex wife and asked me to instruct my lawyers as to my course of
action. At this point I was brow beaten by my barrister not to
continue to judgement but to sign a consent order allowing the
children to go with conditions for a reduced time.

After I and the Judge had signed this I then was told that I now had
absolutely no right of appeal as it was a consent order (I should have
known this but during a court hearing ypou dont think straight... you
expect yourbarrister is there to do some of that for you!

So now they are going and I am more concerned now than was before the
hearing..........

why was I asked to sign this consent order before I had my turn to
stand up and talk to the judge?

Hello,
Could you tell me what country your case is in? Are you in the UK?
