Hi,
I am wondering what is the purpose of the following  required properties in JSON source
  • is_new_party: A boolean that should be true if this is the first event for the supplied party identifier, or false otherwise.
  • is_new_session: A boolean that should be true if this is the first event within the session, or false otherwise.
Does  divolte do something special with above values (e.g. try to deduplicate) or just send to sinks without analysing them?

Hi,

No special processing is done with or using these fields. They are passed on to the output as is. The reason that they are mandatory is mostly for consistency with the browser source, which was originally the only type of source in Divolte. The JSON endpoint was added later and was made to match the browser source in terms of required data.

If you always set them to false (or true), it wouldn't influence anything.
