Thank you for your service.  It is appropriate that an active and competitive Hobie sailor from Div6, be the face of Div6 at HCANA.
Would you please consider emailing a summary of some kind, to the "Div-6 membership" (email to: divis...@googlegroups.com ),  upon your return?

Is there a link to a more current copy of Hobie Hotline?  I could only find some from 2022.

Hello

I have been acting as Division 6 rep for several years.
Yes, you have to be a Hobie Class Asso. (HCA) member.

Current members are - Jane Sherrod, Stephen Acquart, Jon Tomko, Dylan Tomko.

I will be attending the HCA meeting in about 2 weeks in Syracuse NY - and representing ?Div 6.
If anyone wants the job, joins the HCA, and will actively participate - the job is yours.

I noticed that Jane is shown as the Div6 contact for HCANA.  Is that correct? Should we change that?  Or, does the contact name need to be an actual HCANA member, thus several of us are unlikely to be candidates?

I agree with Roger : you are a great rep for Div6.

I believe the Div6 officers will make a proposal for full Div6 membership in HCANA, if only to gain access to lower cost insurance for regattas.  We just need to make a simple table showing current insurance situation ($400/day for regatta insurance)  vs HCANA insurance cost + HCANA 'membership" costs.  The ROI should show an advantage to using HCANA insurance.

Hello Jim and all

Not much has been happening the last few years with HCA - until recently.  This year saw a re-working of the By-laws.

I will gladly report on the AGM - Annual General Meeting - that I will attend next week.

Unfortunately, Hotline died out.  There have been a couple of on-line issues published.  Don't think any this year.

Regards,

Jane Sherrod
