"Back in the day", the Mid-Americas Hobie regatta was one of the biggest and baddest around, known as much for the legendary parties as much as the high-level competition. 2023 is the 50th anniversary and they are trying to put together a big splash. This year, the Hobie class association has opened up participation in Hobie regattas to non-Hobies, contingent on paying $25 for a weekend membership.

The venue is superb: big grassy area for camping, a nice clubhouse, and a big, pretty lake. So block out your calendar and make plans to attend!
