Subject: Get ready for the Hobie 17/18 North American Championship at the Yellow Brick Regatta!

[CAUTION: External Email]

Hobie Fleet 149 out of Perry Lake Kansas is making a BIG comeback this summer and I wanted to be sure you had a personal invite to our to BIG Hobie events!

Before we talk about the honor of hosting the Hobie 17/18 North American Championship happening August 16th to the 21st I wanted to make sure you knew about the Yellow Brick Regatta : Perry Yacht Club and an extraordinary opportunity to hone your skills with one of the finest catamaran sailing coaches in the USA for a 4 day session July 25th to the 28th.

We have the pleasure once again to offer the services of Robbie Daniel and Red Gear Racing once again at a value you simply won't find anywhere else. Robbie's list of victories on Catamarans is far too extensive to cover in this email, but you can read about his experience here. What you may not pick up on in that link though is Robbie and Jill are as skilled at instruction as they are at winning races. No matter your current skill level I can assure you will find the seminar to be some of the most valuable time you spend on and off the water. We found last year we not only saw our skills improve on the water, but even all those little things with boat preparation someone with decades of Olympic experience is able to share will make you faster, by making your day easier. Then we found ourselves left with a catalog of ideas and tools we could use far beyond the seminar to improve the skill and thus exponentially increase the enjoyment and satisfaction of other sailors in our fleets. Whether you are new to cat sailing, a racer with decades of experience, or a sailing coach yourself I guarantee you will learn and grow.

At this event to further expand our skill sets we expect to have everything from a fleet of H14's some H16's and of course H17 and H18.  We will also have a contingent of F18 sailors, a variety of Nacra's, a few High speed foiling boats, and nice group of Tornado's.  The plan, like last year is to offer seminar participants the chance to experience some high speed foiling with Robbie Daniels at the helm.  Just trust me, everyone last year had one of the best sailing experiences of their lifetime, and this year is all set to be even better.

The Regatta the weekend following the seminar will be three days of racing, with continued instruction, great food, drinks, and a Live band.   Find out more by Following the Yellow Brick Regatta, registering today at https://www.regattanetwork.com/event/24571

With you all warmed up, next up is the biggest prize in Hobie 17 and Hobie 18 sailing this year! We have a top-notch race committee team and the on shore festivities are going to include an amazing opening diner and some of Kansas City's finest BBQ to close out a week of what is shaping up to be some fierce competition across the four days of racing.

If you have never sailed at one of the 100+ boat Hobie regatta's which happened at Lake Perry throughout the years you might not know the lake mostly runs north and south delivering great racing on a nice wide course, which is perfectly viewed from the clubhouse overlooking the racing area.  Perry Yacht Club is a private gated club at the north end of the lake far and generally is well clear of any powerboat or other undesirable boat traffic. Especially throughout the week it functionally offers a nearly entirely private if not practically almost exclusive sailing venue.

The Clubhouse features all the amenities you need for the week including hot showers, toilets, and more.  Primitive Camping is free onsite and limited RV parking with electricity is available.   Our beach is expansive and will allow you to keep your boat at or very near the water's edge just a quick reach from the racing area at all times.  Perry Yacht Club's membership is truly honored by the opportunity to host this event and will make sure you and your Hobie family have an enjoyable event to remember for years.

Find out more, and register TODAY for the Hobie 17 and Hobie 18 North American Championship at www.thehobiewayoflife.com

Don't forget to share the news about these events with the rest of our Hobie family!  These events are the most fun when we are all there learning, laughing and competing.  This means you and I are going to have to personally invite our friends we have seen recently, and those we haven't seen in years, to continue to create these experiences and engage our youth in the sport we all love so much!
