Dash 2021 Results

Sailors,

Team Sheet for Brains (Mark Biscotto & Jim Casto on N6.0) reached the northern most point first at this year's Dash after 7 hours of battle.  Winds were predicted to clock SE near 10 knots by 1pm, but that never happened.  It was an upwind grind in light NE winds likely driven by tropical system in gulf and some scattered showers.  No team could reach East Beach in the alloted time and teams determined to stop short of trying to get past seawall hitting various beaches to derig.  This is the first time the Dash could not have an official finisher.  However, the effort of the participants can not be diminished.  It had to be frustrating for many teams still in sight of the starting site well over 1 hr after the start.  

I would like to thank the organizers for running the event and accounting for all the teams who bailed to various beaches.
