Dear Geography colleagues,
I am working with two colleagues on an NSF mini-grant supported pilot study titled "Visceral Geographies
of Whiteness and Invisible Micro-aggressions." Our intention is that
this study will contribute to a better understanding of the experiences
of geographers of color in various academic settings. We anticipate that
this understanding will contribute to efforts to increase the
participation of people of color in the discipline of Geography, and to
provide a more welcoming, inclusive environment for faculty and students
of color already in the discipline.
We have created an online survey that should take no more than 10-20
minutes to complete. We welcome you to take the survey and to forward it to other Geography colleagues who might find this topic of interest.

The survey will be available until the end of September, 2012. We
plan to present our findings at the AAG conference in Los Angeles.
Your contribution to this project is much appreciated!
Thank you,
Shangrila.
