AAG Diversity Ambassadors at the Annual Meeting in Los Angeles

Summary of Outreach Activities

Hello Everyone!

As you know, this year, as ambassadors, we are not planning to be sitting at a table in the exhibit hall, but we are going to try to more proactively engage in relevant sessions throughout the week of the meeting to reach out to young members, job seekers, department leaders. We have green ribbons for each of you to wear with your conference name tag to recognize your participation as an ambassador.  Please pick up your ribbon / pin from Astrid Ng or Marcela Zeballos at the conference registration desk on Tuesday all day or Wednesday morning, then we will also have them available for you at the event on Wednesday afternoon.  Be sure to attend this special short-panel and networking reception (see below highlighted in yellow)!

We could still use more mentors in time slots! To formally sign up to mentor at any of the mentoring sessions (highlighted in green), please indicate availability using our Doodle poll: http://doodle.com/u9nt4d7xuvsbkpee

Thanks to those who are signed up to participate - you are a crucial piece of the puzzle (do wear your pins - we have more if you lost them) ! (Those other than AAG staff are acknowledged below in blue text).

Please send any additions or updates to this list to me at pso...@aag.org.  I plan to circulate these sessions to publicize our activities  - feel free to do the same.

See you in L.A.!

Patricia Solís
