Hi all,
Agile 2010 is sure getting close! And it looks like we'll have several interviews to show in our project space there, which I think is in the Open Jam area.

We had talked early on about having something to give to people who come by our 'booth' - maybe little stickers or ribbons on their badges, just to show they've come by, and start conversations about our project ("What is that ribbon for?" "Oh, I went by the Women in Agile booth and saw the most interesting interview of X!")

Time is very short but ribbons would be easy to do, or maybe even I could find some cute stickers to pass out. What do y'all think?

These women are SO compelling - and I want to get them seen and heard! They are all fascinating, and the interviews really don't even focus on diversity - it's more the women telling us why they are so passionate about the work they do, how they work to be servant leaders, how creative software development is. That's a message that deserves being heard! So I am hoping if we could make it more visible some way, we could encourage traffic. Also, at the end of the conference, we'd have a visual indication of how many people showed an interest.

Please tell me your opinions.

to diversity in agile - women in agile program
Lisa,

I like the idea ... specially with ribbons but you might be inviting
controversy again. That shouldn't stop us/you (I won't be at Agile
2010) .. but it may be a good idea to be prepared.

There are all these tiny "little girl" stickers in the dollar stores.
Something like a flower (identified with women, but which men also
enjoy) might work. Sparkly and fun? Or simple? (a tiny red tulip would
be what I would design, if I could)

Good idea, lisa!

This is going to sound weird: but how about custom temporary tattoos? (This way you could create a custom Agile message.)

I like that idea, but given our shortage of volunteers (so far it's just me and maybe Yves), I think stickers would be easier. I like Deb's idea, there's a store here where I think I can find something like a little tulip.
thanks!
