Thereare many intellectual biographies of Dr B.R. Ambedkar, but until now none has sought to reveal the personality of the man. They will tell you what he thought or what he wrote, but remain silent about who he actually was, his inner struggles, how he felt. They give information about Ambedkar, but do not talk about his interior life, his personal growth or how he came to be the man who left such an indelible mark on modern India's constitutional, political, social and religious landscapes.

The first of an ambitious two-volume biography, Becoming Babasaheb traces Ambedkar's life journey, from his birth in 1891 to the transformative Mahad Satyagraha in 1929. It takes a completely fresh look at Ambedkar's lived experiences and teases out the nature and character of the man behind the legend. It offers an extensive, personality-driven narrative covering Ambedkar's life, along with salient aspects of his contemporary legacy, unfolding as a tale of remarkable tenacity, which it chronicles in all its rich vitality.

All of Ambedkar's books and speeches are publicly available, so large volumes will forever appear interpreting his writings and presenting his ideas. Meanwhile, old myths and inaccurate 'facts' about his thought and life events, even his relationships, persist. Becoming Babasaheb has been written on the basis of entirely original archival research to set the historical record straight. A vivid portrait of the man in his times, both volumes of this biography will present readers with a new Ambedkar, the true Ambedkar.

The Education Department, Government of Maharashtra (Mumbai) published the collection of Ambedkar's writings and speeches in different volumes. Apart from the Government of Maharashtra; the Ministry of Social justice also publishes books written by Dr. Ambedkar.

Dr. Ambedkar argued that the British government kept the exchange rate too much(overvalued) so that they could sell their goods in India. Worth mentioning here that overvalued makes the import cheaper and export costlier.

A set of five volumes based on the works of Dalit icon and chief architect of Indian Constitution Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar will be released soon, publishing house Oxford University Press (OUP) announced on the occasion of the 129th anniversary of India's first Law and Justice minister. Ambedkar was born on this day in 1891 in Kali Paltan area of the Mhow town (Madhya Pradesh).

The set of books, titled "B.R. Ambedkar: The Quest for Justice", explores the multifaceted idea of justice in social, political, legal, economic, gender, racial, religious and cultural terms. It is edited by author Aakash Singh Rathore.

"It (the five volumes) offers critical analyses of the realities of social inequality, diversity, exclusion, and marginality that Ambedkar's work has drawn our attention to, as well as of his writing itself," said the publishers."The effort behind these volumes is to question the continued relevance of his ideas of justice and to suggest constitutional and policy responses to these ideas," the publishers said in a statement.

While volume one focuses specifically on the theme of "political justice, including explorations in political theory inspired by Ambedkarite thought", the second and third volume examine key issues in social justice -- especially in terms of Indian democracy -- and literature on the Constitution of India and its institutions, the idea of constitutional morality, rights and the rule of law, and Ambedkar jurisprudence, respectively.
