Have Your Say
Student Services and Amenities Fee Survey 2015
La Trobe University wants to know what you would like to spend the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) on.
What are your priorities for the student community at La Trobe?
What should the SSAF be spent on in order to improve your experience while studying?
By completing this survey you will be providing the University with information to help make informed decisions about the best possible
allocation of the SSAF to support the needs of the La Trobe student community.
Your responses are
entirely confidential. No results will be reported which identify individuals, so please respond honestly to the questions.
So, what is the SSAF?
In October 2011, the Australian Parliament passed legislation to allow Universities to charge a Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF)
to all higher education students from 2012. If you are an international student, your SSAF contribution is included in your tuition fee. It is not an additional fee.
La Trobe collects the fee and, after consultation, distributes it to improve the student experience by providing important services and
amenities (comforts) for students according to the spending areas listed in the legislation. This can include health and welfare services, careers advice, accommodation assistance, advocacy, sport, cultural and recreational activities.
