to DIVA for Rhino
Hi,

I have just downloaded and installed Diva. I am excited about getting
to know the program. I have downloaded the tutorial Rhino model.
Just as a background I am running Rhino and Diva on a macbook. I use
Parallels as a coherent virtual machine between platforms.

When I click on any of the Diva commands, I get the following message,
for example: Unknown command:_ProjectInfo

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Matt

Matt it basically means you have not loaded the plugin RHP file.
in Rhino type [Options] > select [Plug-ins] > Click Install > file is located in : C:\Diva\Diva.rhp

Thanks for the reply Fabian. I got it dialed in. I am, however
having another issue. When I go through the "your first simulation"
tutorial, I get an output image (after I do the visualization (image)
simulation) that is incorrect. It does not look like the scene.

Thoughts?

Matt,

Check your views. If you haven't changed it DIVA renders your perspective view. Find your perspective view and change it to what you want. You should be fine.

Hi Matt,

Echoing what Mostapha has said, make sure you are in the "Perspective"
view of Rhino and not a saved viewport. If you are in a saved view, even
if you change it visually in Rhino, the rendered view will be the original
saved view.

If the scene looks completely empty, there is some error exporting your
geometry. Layers need to be visible and unlocked for the geometry to
export to Radiance.

Another possible (though less-likely) issue is with the geometry-export
itself. If your scene looks strangely rotated, this is probably the case,
and you can read how to fix it here:

Best,
Alstan
