I've been having some trouble getting the Lighting Control Input to
respond as expected in the Viper component for Diva for Grasshopper.
When I simulate my geometry with light controls on set to 500 lux, the
output from the simulations gives me 0 electrical lighting consumption
(there should still be some electrical lighting because the space is
not completely daylit). However, when I disconnect the lighting level
input and rerun the simulation, the electrical lighting levels seem to
be correct (relatively nothing at nighttime when building is
unoccupied, then higher in the day).
Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this? I've double checked my
dimensions...the footprint of the building is 15m deep (N/S
orientation) with windows on both the North and South and 25m long
(E/W) which are opaque to set up a controlled testing environment.
This should be a well daylit space, but not perfectly daylit. See
image of what I mean. I am combining this Viper simulation with Diva
to iterate through galapagos.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.
