Problem getting DIVA to load on Remote Desktop computers

Hey All,

 

Does anyone have any ideas as to why I'm unable to get the DIVA 2.0 beta to work on a Remote Desktop machine?  I've never had any problems with the previous version of DIVA, but this new version won't load.  If I remote into a computer and Rhino is already loaded along with DIVA, I'm able to run a simulation.  But if I load Rhino anew, DIVA won't load, and thus cannot run any simulations.

 

I realize that this is with a beta that is about to come out soon, but I just can't get enough!!!!  I need as many simulations running at once as possible!!!

Hi Patrick,

I just wanted to let you know that I won't be able to test this on my own
remote desktop setup until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, but I will
look into the issue!

I'd also be interested to know if you all were working on incorporating glare anlysis that can be done through the Diva-for-Grasshopper components.

Hi Patrick,

Yes, I can reproduce the error. The problem seems to lie in that I have
not allowed DIVA to run on "terminal server clients." We will fix this.

Annual Glare analysis typically takes 3+ hours per simulation, so I am not
sure parametricizing it would be wise. If you mean single-sky glare
analysis, I defer to Jeff Niemasz on the question.
