Hello there,

I'm using DITA-OT version 4.2 to build an HTML5 output of my map.
The build process completes and creates the desired output, but I get the following types of errors (around a dozen of each):

Error: Failed to process key references: Failed to transform file:/<path-to-local-user>/AppData/Local/Temp/temp20240322120118555/8f04864977c79764428deac1c25eb6da1685e95c.dita: <path-to-local-user>\AppData\Local\Temp\temp20240322120118555\8f04864977c79764428deac1c25eb6da1685e95c.dita (The system cannot find the file specified)

Error: Failed to process XML filter: Failed to transform file:/ <path-to-local-user>  /AppData/Local/Temp/temp20240322120118555/8f04864977c79764428deac1c25eb6da1685e95c.dita: C:\ <path-to-local-user>  \AppData\Local\Temp\temp20240322120118555\8f04864977c79764428deac1c25eb6da1685e95c.dita (The system cannot find the file specified)

Error: A source of type net.sf.saxon.lib.EmptySource is not supported in this environment
Error: Failed to transform document: Failed to transform document: A source of type net.sf.saxon.lib.EmptySource is not supported in this environment

It is a relatively simple input ditamap, albeit heavily keyed up. I ran a few sample test builds on other maps (e.g. the DITA-OT docs) and got more of the same errors.

My PC did have its temp directory cleaned up somewhat recently, but being a DITA-OT newbie, I have no clue how to troubleshoot this one.

Kind regards,
Konrad

After some more troubleshooting, it turns out the errors were caused by topics with otherprops="draft" that were appended to the input map, with keys on their corresponding topicrefs. Oxygen XML didn't show these during the any validation checks, and I'm still not sure why DITA-OT complained about that, so if anyone's got some additional info here, I'd be grateful :)

Kind regards,
Konrad

DITA-OT 4.2.2 was recently released and it contains fixes that most likely will fix some of the issues you’re describing. Are you able to test with 4.2.2?

Fix for this (https://github.com/dita-ot/dita-ot/pull/4449) will be part of 4.2.3 patch release.
