Hi!,
I've been exploring the webhelp responsive transformation and love it.  I was wondering if anyone can share some additional training materials about implementing the transformation on a grander scale.  For example, I have several maps that I'd like to publish under one site.  If I create a separate ditamap and add all these maps, I get the content under one site but the main menu displays the highest level topic rather than the publication name.  I don't see a parameter to display the publication instead... I could create one large map with a concept topic that represents each publication, then add all the topics from the map within that topic, but I think this would be very hard to maintain.  I still have a requirement to publish each publication as a separate PDF so each time I update the pub I would need to update the website "map"

Any advice would be appreciated.  I don't have an indepth knowledge of html5 and css but willing to learn if that is what I need to do.

Thanks
Debbie

Hi Debbie,

The DITA Open Toolkit as an open source publishing engine has support to publish DITA XML content to plain HTML5 and XHTML formats.

By "webHelp responsive" do you mean the "WebHelp Responsive" transformation based on the DITA Open Toolkit provided by Oxygen XML Editor?
If so, as this is part of our commercial offering you can also contact us directly via email (sup...@oxygenxml.com) or via other Oxygen specific channels: https://www.oxygenxml.com/technical_support.html

Regards,
Radu

Hi Debbie,

I also invite you to explore the excellent Oxygen XML Forum:

In fact, there was recently a discussion about exactly the issue you describe - where the titles of the "book-level" maps do not become a level of navigation hierarchy:

We encountered this same problem with DITA publishing, and I provide a plugin in the discussion above to resolve it:
