Do you have a story about district energy and/or combined heat and
power that you'd like to share with the readers of District Energy
magazine? If so, please consider submitting an abstract, which is due
this Fri., June 5. Read on for more information.

IDEA is asking for abstracts of articles to be considered for
publication in the 2010 issues of District Energy magazine. In a
150-200-word abstract, tell us who would write the article (and which
organization[s]) they represent), what the article would cover and why
the topic or story angle is unique. (All resulting articles must be
non-commercial in nature.)

The abstract should be submitted via email by Friday, June 5, 2009, to
Monica Westerlund, executive editor District Energy magazine, at
m...@westerlund.com. The publication's editorial committee will review
all abstracts, with members receiving first-chance consideration. The
authors selected will then be notified of their acceptance and the
publication schedule.

The publication is produced in a hard copy and a digital edition and
is distributed internationally.

Monica,
Attached is the copy of the power point presentation I made at NY Hospital associations. Clients also spoke of their experience. Per NYU Med my "Voodoo Engineering" really works. I expect that both clients will save over a million dollars a year per and reduce their peak power by over One MW. I can visualize the title as Major surgery of chilled water system at Sloan Memorial cancer hospital and NYU Medical saves over a million dollars a year in operating costs and reduces power requirements by over a mega Watt. I am sure that both clients will participate in the article. NYSERDA also provided around $600,000 to each of them to reengineer the system. Please let me know if you want to pursue this further.
Regards,
Hemant

Thank you!

Monica, is it this coming issue that Barney York's article on
Commissioning DE plant's is going in or a later one? Trying to think
about the next column and may be able to tie the two together somewhat.

Tim
