District 5 Residents,

Our friends at Community Connection are about to start an exciting new project. This spring, they'll be working with St. Mary's and Athens Regional to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment. The study they'll be conducting of healthcare-related need in our county will help the hospitals and others make decisions about how to serve our community.

On Saturday, March 21, they will be hosting a FREE pig roast for residents of ACC Commission districts 3, 5 & 6 (find maps here to identify your district if you need to) from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the West Broad Farmers Market. I am writing you today to encourage you to join me at this event; or, if you can't make it, to take their health needs survey here

The purpose of this survey is to gather information that will help the hospitals and local nonprofits better serve our neighborhoods. We can help them help us by heading down to the pig roast, or simply by filling out the survey online.

The more information this assessment is able to gather from our commission district, the louder our voices will be heard about the issues we face and the needs we have.

I hope you'll join me in representing our community and helping ensure we have a seat at the table for this important conversation about health needs in Athens.

If you have any questions or needs, please contact Executive Director Fenwick Broyard at fbro...@communityconnection211.org.
