Happy (almost) New Year from EWB-USA NEU!

As 2018 comes to a close and we prepare to ring in the new year, it's not too late to donate! We are just $500 below our 2018 Year End Goal, and you can help us reach it by clicking here

For those of you who have already donated this season, we are deeply grateful for your generous participation in our Year End Giving Campaign. With your help we have raised $5,445 to directly fund our sustainable engineering projects in Uganda, Guatemala, and Panama!

Our Panama team recently returned from a successful commissioning trip in Las Delicias, where over 200 residents now have a functioning and reliable clean water distribution system.

Ruth, Titi, and Izai observe clean water from the community's new system running from a tap stand at their home.

Ismael (the Water Board President), myself, Lisa Sangree, Mike (the Panama team Professional Mentor), Oscar, Connor, Alyssa, and Jess (EWB-USA NEU's faculty advisor) complete a sunrise hike celebrating Mike's birthday and the successful commissioning of the water system.

For more photos from the trip feel free to check out our SmugMug: https://ewbneu.smugmug.com/

In other Chapter news, our Uganda team is gearing up and choosing a travel team for their second trip to their newly established partner community in Nakyenyi. Our Guatemala team is also currently in Chuixil completing the first assessment trip to enable the design and construction of a new school for the community's children. They will be returning January 6th with plenty of new updates as our Chapter's first group to complete a trip for a structural project.

For updates from the Guatemala team when they return, and on all things EWB-USA NEU related, follow our social media, linked below:

Thanks again for your continued engagement with and sponsorship of EWB-USA NEU and have a very happy New Year!!

Lisa & Emily
