Dear Friends of EWB-USA NEU,
Happy Holidays! Today, on Giving Tuesday, we would like you to consider donating to our Engineers Without Borders USA Northeastern Chapter.
2018 has been an exciting year for us! Our Uganda program has finished the water distribution system in Bbanda after 10 years of hard work, and has made its first assessment trip to Nakyenyi to begin another water project. After our March trip, Panama has finished project construction and is preparing to commission the gravity-fed water distribution system in Las Delicias this December. Last but not least, we have embarked upon an entirely new structural project, building a school in Chuixil, Guatemala with plans to make our first assessment trip this December.
After our December Panama trip, our chapter will have completed seven drinking water projects since our chapter began in 2004. We will have provided access to clean drinking water to over 2,700 people, as well as enriching the education and experiences of over a hundred students each year.
To those of you who have donated before: Thank you. It is only with your support that we are able to accomplish our mission to help communities meet their basic needs with sustainable engineered solutions while simultaneously providing students with transformative learning experiences in the real world. Our chapter relies on our donors, technical advisors, mentors, members, and alumni to be able to accomplish all that we do. We are eternally grateful to all of you who donate time, knowledge, and funds to our chapter.
Our goal for this holiday season is to raise $6,000 to be directly applied to essential material, labor, and travel expenses for our three projects. All three of our programs will be prepared to travel at least once in 2019, so every donated dollar counts.
