Friends in the coming week, we have Toppits Case on Tuesday(24th July), Final Presentation on next Tuesday (31st July) and mid term on 28th July. A Small discussion abt the beginning would really help. Lets meet tomo after Guest Lecture for approx 15 minutes. This will eventually help all.

Hi guys : 

we have 5 questions in toppit case : 
I am devising the questions randomly : 
Q1: aakriti
Q2 : siddharth 
Q3 : saurabh malhan
Q4: vishal balani & shresth (u can discuss and do it or do it indivisually as it suits u and we can compile ur answers )
Q5 : ekta
Satvinder is out of station and questions are also less so havent alloted him any question .
Please send your ppt by tmr night or monday morning so that we can compile and discuss if any one has any issues

ekta ...just go through the project requirements and the synopsis which we had prepared originally..
and mail the data requirments for the projects ..
we all will do the same..
monday lets meet up and devide the wrk and plan it out ..

@shresth: please get the required data we dont have much time ...

I am having a confusion related to the question assigned. Please answer whosoever has read the case.

Toppits distribution channels.

1) Toppits warehouse to distributors to retailers    ( topits=25% margin , distributor=40% margin, retailer=40%)

2) Toppits warehouse to Canadian warehouse to ?????         ( toppits=25% margin, warehouse= 20%)


Will retailers not buy from warehouse instead of distributors as they will get it cheap?

Does toppits sell only to one warehouse or all 10 ?

Is it something to do with 3 trays ki packing for warehouse and single tray for retailers?

Who does canadian warehouse sell to? Can it sell to retailers?

the chain is like this as far as we have understood....


Company -à25% -à Distributior à 25% à Grocery Store à 40%

(CTC)34 --à 42.5 -à             53.125 -à    74.375

Company -à25% -à Subsidiary Distributior à 25% à Warehouse Store à 20%

34 --à             42.5 -à      53.125 -à                                       63.75


we have assumed the margin of susidiary distributior to be same as the retailer distributor...(since nothing is given)....


And its not specifically mentioned, but indirectly it says its selling it in only 1 warehouse...

And i think warehouse can sell to anyone..retailers or customers....
