All,
What type of electric sump pumps and floats are you using to dewater your steam vaults that give you favorable results? One of the pumps we use is the Franklin
Electric, Little Giant HT-6E. This is a high temperature, 200 degree Fahrenheit
rated pump. The pumps are reliable, but occasionally we find
the "floppy floats" are hung up on something (debris, sump pit wall, discharge piping), or, the floats need to be
jiggled to get the float to come on. Has anyone else found a solution
to this issue? The Zoeller 3000 series pump is a quality high temperature
pump, but our maintenance crew does not like the fragile float
mechanism. The most reliable float system we have out there is the vertical float system on the Zoeller Mighty Mate 50 Series pump, but these pumps are not very reliable in a potentially high temperature environment.
Thank you,
