Universal Context Propagation for Distributed System Instrumentation

Hi all,

Rodrigo Fonseca and I have recently been working on this "baggage context" idea, to do with separating out context propagation from a specific application (e.g., the application of tracing, which is just a consumer of context propagation).

We'll be presenting a research paper on this in a conference in April.  Posting here as it's now available to read, for those interested.
