Thanks Groovemonkee for your interest in helping BB users. I have your Country package and love it. So much better than any MiDI stuff I could do. I like the fills in the loop they often fit song lyrics perfectly.

The BeatBuddy freebie pak is now available here: -drum-loop-freebie

It includes the Studio One pitchlist I mentioned before. With Studio One you can audition midi loops in their file browser window, edit them and drag them back out via the browser window.

There are some videos tutorial videos on Youtube which explains how to use Studio One.if you want to get into midi editing. I would start by just using the songs it comes with and how to create a set. Next start importing some free midi loops groovemonkee would be a good choice. To edit the midi files which make up the BB songs you do need to understand something of midi.

The free drum loops, samples and sounds listed here have been kindly uploaded by other users for your commercial and non-commercial use on a royalty free basis (subject to our terms and conditions). If you use any of these drum loops please leave your comments.

For details on how you can use any loops and samples (including details on the specific licences granted by the creators of loops), please see the loops section of the help area and our terms and conditions. If you come across any content that is in breach of copyright or our upload guidelines please contact support.

I want to avoid any sort of infringement problems if I were to take my home recordings to the next level. I want to be sure that I own and have all the rights to the drum performance created in EZDrummer.

This album does NOT contain beats, loops, sound effects, or other audio that I downloaded from sample libraries or other public sources. This includes sounds that are available for free from GarageBand, Ableton, Logic, Fruity Loops, etc.

You are correct. TuneCore is explicit in stating the same exact thing as Distrokid. No YouTube monetization using songs with EZDrummer2 as the drummer as they are samples. This is disastrous for me. Very expensive to remedy. I simply cannot afford a drummer to go and rerecord the drum parts. I had planned on using YouTube as my primary advertising platform like Mary Spender. This is a kick in the teeth to Toontrack and all of the customers.

Orchid is one of the most diverse and emotional free collections of samples and drum loops we've done yet. With over 3gb of content, from melody loops, to one shots, to drum loops and percussion loops, Orchid has everything a producer needs.

After sitting down and talking with multiple successful beatmakers in the industry, we came to the conclusion that it all boils down to musicianship and artistry.

The following months, we spent hours in our studios working with guitar players, piano players, flute players, and every single instrumentalist that we could find!

We then proceeded to give these recordings to our production team so they could work with them and the results were astonishing.

Okay, please forgive me but I'm brand new to the entire world of DAW. I've been slowly piecing together a home studio and now I'm ready start creating. I want to start by importing some drum loops from Band Lab Assistant. I can't figure out how. This is my very first question and I'm sure as I get more familiar with this forum I'm be able to find more answers on my own.

I knew this was going to happen. In reading a lot of other notes in here I keep seeing 2 or 3 letter acronyms and I have no idea what they stand for. Is there a DAW dictionary of acronyms? For instance, you said " Add the SI Drums to a track. Open up its GUI" I have no idea what SI and GUI stand for. This is how new I am to all of this.

Rounding out the collection are 139 key and tempo-labelled MIDI loops, ready and waiting for you to build upon the melodies, harmonies and rhythms contained within the loops, plus a final helping of 69 synth tail samples necessary for bringing your chosen loop to a smooth, natural decay.

I've long been a fan of Guitar Rig, despite not being much of a guitarist. The reason is that it's an excellent multi-effect regardless of what you put it on, so it's just as good on beats, vocals and keys as it is on guitars. As the software has matured it's gained lots of new modules that make it even more flexible for a range of uses, especially thanks to its controller modules. One of the things I use it for most often is processing drum loops, which can really be livened up by the addition of some crunch, delay and other effects. You can start with presets of course, or build your own rigs from scratch.

Load a loop into your DAW and call up an instance of Guitar Rig. You can load a loop into Guitar Rig's own looper module, but for our purposes it's easier to do it from a DAW track. You can start from a preset with the rig, but we're going to start from scratch.

Go to the Components menu in Guitar Rig and choose your first module. I'm starting with a Van 51 from the Amplifiers section, since this also comes with a matched amp. Once loaded, I lower the amp Pre Gain knob from the section to the left of the front panel, which reduces the hard crunch to a more subtle level. I can also play with the EQ and crossfade between the mics in the speaker section to shape the sound so it's a little more immediate and less treble heavy.

Drum loops can sound good when you pump and squash them a bit, and for this we can go into the Dynamics section of Guitar Rig's modules and choose a compressor to drag and drop intop the rack area. I have gone for the fast Comp unit and then driven both the input and the makeup gain knobs a little to push the signal pretty hard until it sounds raw and urgent.
