Issue with Study Design in R

Hi all,
I am trying to analyze a study design in R and am having some difficulty. I get as far as
running a test survey and no matter how I change the make.design parameters I get this warning: "Warning: Spacing larger than x-range cannot generate samplers in strata 1Warning: No samplers generated." I suspect it may have something to do with the study area shape file I'm reading in, but I don't know for sure, nor how to address it. Any advice/assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the email list, after your adventures in the most recent distance sampling workshop. Please to see you are doing some investigation of study design possibilities. If you would like to send (off-list) your shape file and the code you've created thus
far, I'd be happy to have a look. When we get the issue resolved, you can report back to the list with what we discovered.

Eric was able to successfully help me diagnose the problem. I was trying to use kilometers as my unit, but since the shapefile was projected in UTM I should have been using meters.
