no fields selected from the layer "region"

I am trying to import data and I get an error saying "no fields selected from the layer region". when I do import the data it is only loading in some of the data and missing alot. there are empty cells, is that the issue?

Sorry to hear your having difficulty importing your data into Distance for Windows. To understand what the problem might be, I'd be grateful if you could send the file (privately to me) you are trying to import so we can diagnose the problem.

So the issue was that the file I was importing into distance was missing some columns with important information. The colums specifying the region area and transect line length were missing so once I fixed the excel file and added columns which specified these, the data could then be imported without an issue.

The helpful replier below sent  me an image of the structure you need in your excel file to import into distance. I will link it here:
