Issues with Distance 7 shapefile import

Hello group,

I am trying to design a sawtooth survey for a pilot study. I have my study area in ArcGIS but when i try and copy it over to my distance project, I get this error: 

I decided to carry on and enter the coordinates by hand and was able to produce a map that looked correct. However, when I get to the design tab and try to change options in design properties, I get this error. 

Can anyone help me with either of these?

Hi Orla,

Did you bring the GIS file in via the Import Shape Wizard? (Under Tools
menu.) If not, give that a try. If you did already, then please can
you send me your Distance project file (use File | Export project...) to
make a zip file and also the shapefile you're using, I'll be happy to
take a look and see if I can diagnose the problem. Once we've found it,
perhaps you can post the solution back to the list for others.
