Hi all, is there a way of plotting abundance and CI estimated by a distance sampling model?
Thanks a lot.
Cheers,
Joaquin

Joaquín:

There is not a function in the Distance package for plotting estimates and confidence intervals from a fitted model.  I suspect you are interested in plotting a set of estimates derived from a number of strata or a number of surveys.

You should be able to make progress with plotting if you understand the structure of the object created by a call to ds() .

I have an example where I've created an object wren from fitting a detection function to point transect data.  The point estimate of abundance of individuals (and the bounds of the confidence interval) are within that object:

>str(wren$dht$individuals$N)
'data.frame': 1 obs. of  7 variables:
$ Label   : Factor w/ 1 level "Total": 1
$ Estimate: num 33.7
$ se      : num 19.6
$ cv      : num 0.584
$ lcl     : num 11.5
$ ucl     : num 98.3
$ df      : num 120

Let me know if you need more information to produce your plots.
