Dear Division Governors, Area Governors and Club Leaders,

Thank you for leading the district to a great finish. Statistics of District Performance as of July 10 show that we have achieved our goals and drive for excellence that was initiated by Ben Guerra. Today 97 clubs are distinguished or higher (25 distinguished, 23 select distinguished and 49 president distinguished clubs). We only needed 83 clubs or 50% of club base to be president distinguished district. Also, we have 22 areas distinguished or better (6 areas distinguished, 9 areas select distinguished and 7 areas achieved president distinguished). Out of 11 divisions we have 6 president distinguished, 1 select distinguished and 1 distinguished division. This term is unique in having the highest number of DTM's in the history of our district totaling 17 members who are listed in the Hall of Fame. Thank you all for helping, motivating and serving the members become distinguished. Congratulations leaders, you make me proud to belong to District - 79.

"There are three ways of getting the name of District No. ONE which are by being early in time, getting it arbitrarily or by performance and hard work. The first one is history, the second is luck and the third is what we are in District-79"

More or less, the above was the core of the welcome message posted last year in our district website under the title: "Welcome to District No. ONE".

Many toastmasters in the district and outside have doubted this statement from the very first time it was made. Even after we proved it to the entire world last year and regained our title, few members and leaders maintained their skepticism and doubts hurting the District and the members.

However, today, "V-7 Campaign" and its results came as a very cold shower to all that those doubts and skepticism demonstrating that in District-79 we have an amazing power and potential can't be matched by any other District.

It is the power we are having that which has moved our District in just 7 days from being not even Distinguished all the way up to "President's Distinguished". 

It is the power of "District No. ONE" which leaders has tapped to it through the "V-7 Campaign", it is simply our Power and our greatness.

Thanks to everyone helped reassuring our greatness.

Thanks to everyone provided us with our right of Standing Tall among all the Districts

Great leaders do great things to people but Greatest leaders make People do great things.
