Markdown formatting in disqus comments

So, I've become addicted to using Markdown for writing comments over at github inside the issue tracker and pull request page. I want this ability in my site-comments too. I already use disqus on my projects and I'd like to extend the ability to format comments using some basic github flavored-comment markdown.

What do you guys think? New feature? I promise you'll win more developers hearts to using disqus as a comment system :)

This is one developer who would be happy to give up his heart if disqus allowed markdwon.

I really love to have this, in fact entire my website is generated with Markdown, so I'm looking for a way to have markdown support in comments, without going out of disqus. Anyone know how to request a feature to disqus team?

Is https://help.disqus.com/en/articles/1717235-what-html-tags-are-allowed-within-comments good enough?
