            We have sent the this letter to ICNA's president and this copy is being sent to you for your  review and judgment as a member of the Muslim community to present our case and seek your help to solve this dispute as prescribed in QURAN.

We, the community of Marietta, would like to bring to your attention the concerns we have about the property of Masjid Al-Hedaya. But before we go on further with this subject, we appreciate the work ICNA is doing towards dawah and relief.

 

We understand that ICNA is national organization and its doing a good work for Muslims causes. We, in no way would want to severe our ties with ICNA. In fact, if we look back at past several years, Marietta community is the most supportive of ICNA causes of all the masajid in metro Atlanta. We have several members of our community who are also ICNA members.

 

We are aware you have been constantly in touch with the ICNA, both at local and as well at national level. However, we feel that there has not been much progress made in resolving the issue of Masjid property with ICNA and its obvious that ICNA is dragging its feet in resolving this issue. Therefore, we have decided to set some kind of deadline which should be communicated to ICNA. If the matter does not progress in the right direction during that period then other steps should be taken by this community.

 

We would like to give ICNA 30 days to make serious efforts towards resolving this issue. On our part, the serious efforts considered would be some kind of documentation which proves that ICNA is serious is resolving the issue. If this matter does not progress in the right direction then we may these steps, i.e. communicate our issue to management of all Masajid in metro Atlanta, picket during the ICNA convention in November, and contact all guest speakers at ICNA convention. We may urge this Masjid Al-Hedaya management to stop any type of cooperation with ICNA. Another option would be to ask masajid all over metro Atlanta to severe ties with ICNA to force it to resolve this issue. We would not want to take this matter to courts but we feel that it all depends on ICNA’s actions.

 

Its high time that ICNA feels its responsibility and honestly resolving this issue without any personal grudge. ICNA’s actions in the past or for that matter inactions have been unbecoming of an Islamic Dawah Organization. We thank you for your help in this matter.
