Brothers and sisters,

I have been reading these emails and it is my understanding that some of our brothers are using some words which are offensive. Would we use such words if we were facing the brother for whom we used those words? To me it is backbiting which is strictly prohibited in Islam. There is more harm than benefit of this email group if we continue doing this. I am sick and tired of reading emails which accuse and abuse my brothers both from the Masjid and from the ICNA. May Allah give us patience.

May I suggest that brothers and sisters from both ICNA and the Masjid set up a date to meet face to face and discuss this issue to reach a compromise like adults and mature Muslims.

Think about it, this is the last ashraa of the holy month and we (and I include myself) are wasting our time writing and reading such emails. May Allah forgive our mistakes and we resolve this dispute in the true Islamic sense. Aameen.
