My Respected Brother's and Sisters in Islam 

I bring this notice of disassociation with ICNA and cancellation of my membership of ICNA after a deep thought and consideration in the light of the events regarding Masjid Al-Hedaya. Most of the Muslim community of Atlanta including myself has felt that ICNA has "now" adopted a deeply rooted self serving mentality and it puts itself above community interests. The conduct of the ICNA Atlanta leadership by forming a quick-made unit comprised of unknown members who have no record of any work with ICNA or the Masjid, and the bad conduct of that group with full backing and blessing of local ICNA leadership is appalling. We also observed acute lack of moral courage in the top management to act, although in individual conversations they showed deep understanding.

It is "now" seen as an unfortunate decay in leadership ability to serve the Muslim community at large with Taqwa and unity as the bases of their values. Masjid Al-Hadiya conflict has only gotten worse since we have addressed the issue with the ICNA national and local leadership.

It has come to my knowledge that brothers Ahmed Alam, Najam Hasan, Moin uddin and Altaf Jangda who are senior most members if ICNA Atlanta have also resigned and ex-president Br. Tariq Aslam is also against the way ICNA leadership is conducting itself in the matter of Masjid Al-Hedayah.

In conclusion, I believe that at this point ICNA management has brought ICNA Atlanta to its lowest level of popularity and the management itself has become a laughing stack. I have no choice but to save my honor and salvage my respect and to resign from ICNA. I intend to make this decision of mine known to the MSA's of ALL the Local Universities as well and make my announcement public (Without trying to bad mouth ICNA) with this notice of disassociation and cancellation of membership of ICNA and pray for Muslim unity and moral courage of Muslim leaders to stand up for what is RIGHT.

May Allah be with you all and open your eyes to the right path.
