Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam            
Assalam o alaikum
 
Recently there has been an outpouring of emails, by different groups or individuals, responding in their own way to the painful differences of opinion, involving the dispute between the Islamic Center of Marietta and ICNA.
Though some of the emails have been relevant and to the point, the majority of the emails have been anything but constructive. Unfortunately most of the emails have been derogatory, full of inaccuracies, and downright hateful.
WE THE MAJLIS-E-SHOORA OF THE ICM, request any person or persons involved in planning or sending these emails to please refrain from doing so. This is not how Muslims solve their disagreements, and it is most certainly not the way of our Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him).
Let's all pledge to solve our differences in constructive manner and not through devious methods. May Allah (Most Exalted and High) guide us and help us solve this dispute in a manner that is best for the community.
