I am totally befuddled with the MyCloud ex2 ultra not being seen on my two roku ultras. Interestingly my much older WdMycloud is totally visible and accessible. The new EXUlta is supposed to be DLNA compliment. There is a button for media server on the old device. I cannot find that button anywhere on the setting for the new Ex2 Ultra. I am not getting a helpful answer for phone support. Other then here are apps you can download. My response to that is I did not need to do that with the old WdMycloud. So if anyone has made the two device work together any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. I would be up and running instead of searching for help. If the media switch were returned. Thanks much
Thank you. So Twonky was the media server software in Os3 then. This is good to know. A page a level for two way from your shared link may help me bettter configure Twonky on my WD Elite dashboard. That will be tomorrow. I still would tike learn the reason it was not included in Os5. If to had been it would have saved days of going between various tech people at WD and other places to resolve the issue. I i will not even mention the return of A WDHome in that mix of the upgrade. The feature certainly should be replaced with a firmware update. My reading at community would suggest many are unhappy. All that being g said thanks for the link. It is much appreciated.
The fact that that this customer and others are trying to figure out all the holes in Os5 will most hopefully be noticed somewhere in redoing Os5 to make the operating system more user friendly. I am an old retired guy with time on my hands. Somewhere in engineering must be employed to establish quality. I hope the word gets to that group. My next step will be to see wether I can access the drive through the mac iOS 5 app away from my network. I must say that when speaking with phone support one tech actually was convinced the media tab slider existed in Os5.
I got my to work by installing twonky. However it required a lot of digging to get it to work. I installed the twonky app via apps in the dashboard toolbar. You then need to configure. Pressing that button/bar leads to configure. This will open twonky and then you need to share the folder. /mnt leaving the choice at the other end open to all. In roku media player you have to hit * help and search for DLNA devices. Give it sometime but it will be seen. It is absolutely clumsy. I seem to have lost the ability to search on the drives tho. It is pretty clear OS5 was not completely and thoroughly tested. I did find out twonky is what was used inside of OS3 that made it so much easier to use.

Micca digital media players support the vast majority of commonly used storage device types, includingSD cards and USB hard drives. There are, however, limitations that users should be aware of. The SDcards and USB drives must meet the following requirements:
The affected Seagate Expansion USB hard drives use their own power supply and has a delayed turn-on mechanism that is not supported by the Micca Speck media player. When connected to the Micca Speck, the Speck detects the drive but is not able to read its contents or play any media files from it. Older Seagate Expansion desktop USB hard drives, as well as Seagate portable USB hard drives are not affected by this compatibility issue.

The MPLAY-HD Mini shares the same compact aluminum design, but offers a host of upgrades in capability with only a modest increase in price. Micca Speck G2 supports USB flash drives and USB hard drives that are 2TB or smaller in size. In the past, all drives smaller than 2TB have shipped from the factory with MBR partition tables, which is supported nearly universally by computers and electronics. Recently, manufacturers like Western Digital and Seagate have begun shipping newer USB hard drives with GPT partition table even for drives that are 2TB or smaller. This has caused numerous issues with users of older version of Windows, various backup software, and many media devices like the Micca Speck G2. When the Micca Speck G2 encounters such a drive, it will show the USB drive letter, but not be able to read any of the files.
In the process of performing firmware updates for the Micca Speck G3/4K digital media players, if the process is interrupted or if an error occurs in the upgrade process, the media player may become stuck in an intermediate state and not complete the firmware update process. In order to recover the media player from this state, please follow the instructions below.

I was also told by IPTV support that UMP users can continue using that app/apk if they want. As you can see, you have the choice to use one or the other app/apk. But you can, however, install each player on different compatible devices if you want.
You get support from the IPTV service and nowhere else, meaning support for the TV player app/apk and streaming content delivered to you. So I hope you learned a thing or two about Ultra Media Player for firestick and all TV apps, and IPTV services.

The merchandise under consideration is the Dynalink TV Box, which is a 4K Ultra HD streaming media player used for the transmission of television signals. The Dynalink media player plugs into a television and turns it into a smart TV. Moreover, it transmits video and audio, such as TV shows, sports, and music from the Internet to a television and provides access to thousands of applications via the Google Playstore. This set-top-box connects directly to the Internet to stream shows and movies from content providers, such as YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, Disney+, ESPN, Hulu, and Sling.At the time of importation, the Dynalink TV box is packaged for retail sale as a set with an adaptor micro USB, a remote, and an HDMI cable. It is the opinion of this office, that the Dynalink media player imparts the essential character of this set.The applicable subheading for the Dynalink TV box will be 8525.50.1000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Transmission apparatus for radio-broadcasting or television, whether or not incorporating reception apparatus or sound recording or reproducing apparatus; television cameras, digital cameras and video camera recorders: Transmission apparatus: Television: Set top boxes which have a communication function.
